The climate allows for a variety of animals to thrive in this environment. Animals are usually taken from Asia, Australia, and Africa. Many of the animals in this Miami Zoo are freely roaming around. The animals are grouped according to their geographic territory and animals with the same characteristics and behavior are allowed to live together. Amazingly, the natural environment like the trees, foliage, and even the soil where these animals are mimic the native habitat of these animals. The most common animals to behold in this zoo are the baby addux “Abacus,” the endangered baby black rhino, white tigers, gibbons, Cuban crocodiles and a komodo dragon, as well as the most commonly found animals like lions, tigers, bears, giraffe, and the elephant among others. There is one portion for almost all types of birds and other reptiles. Over 300 rare and endangered species of exotic birds can also be found there.
